Honey and Lavender Face Mask

lavender

Antibacterial properties:

Lavender oil has proven antibacterial properties, and in killing bacteria, it may prevent and heal acne. Studies show that lavender oil is both antimicrobial and antifungal. Research specifically shows that it can kill Staphylococcus aureus, a type of bacteria that may cause eczema.

Anti-inflammatory:

Lavender oil’s anti-inflammatory properties make it great for soothing and healing skin that’s irritated or reddened from the sun, insect bites, or bacteria.

Heals Injured Skin:
The ancient Greeks used lavender oil to clean wounds, heal burns, and treat other skin injuries. Its antiseptic properties also help skin to heal faster, while fighting and preventing further infection.

Helps Prevent Wrinkles
Lavender oil is a potent source of antioxidants and other beneficial phytochemicals, making it useful for battling signs of premature aging. Antioxidants fight free radical damage, which is caused by environmental stressors like UV rays and pollution.

Lavender oil is non-comedogenic, meaning that it will not clog pores.

How honey is good for the skin:

Honey is one of nature's most revered skin remedies. Thanks to its antibacterial and antiseptic abilities, it may benefit oily and acne-prone skin. Honey is also a natural humectant, so it helps keep the skin moist but not oily.

Using raw honey on your face can work as a treatment for acne, scarring, and dull or dry skin.

Honey speeds up your skin cells’ healing processes. If you have blemishes or an eczema outbreak, honey that’s unpasteurized could speed healing and reduce inflammation.
